This place exceeded my expectations! Especially the front desk staff is very friendly and kind. Also, the breakfast is Caribbean style. My special thanks goes to Ms Rebecca at the front desk!

Amazing location.... Walking distance to top places you need to see. Breakfasts are the best / buffet includes a lot of variety. The staff super helpful and reliable, they make you feel at home. I appreciate the support that Nicolas (Argentina) provided to my daughter. Recommend this stay 100%... ❤️❤️

The breakfast was amazing and offered different choices each of the three mornings we were there. We LOVED the roof top bar/restaurant and appreciated Lester's cordiality each of the three times we were there and at two breakfasts. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The lobby was spacious yet welcoming and everyone at Riu Plaza was alert to helping in any way needed. The Riu Plaza is in a good location to walk to many nice sights. The shower was wonderful and the room was a nice size, great for relaxing there or at the roof top restaurant after a day of sight seeing or before going out for the evening. Chicago is a beautiful clean and vibrant city and staying at the Riu made a great visit even better! Riu Plaza has thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable, valued and welcome! Can't wait to visit again!

Our stay at Hotel Riu in Chicago was truly amazing! The best part was definitely the location, right in the city center, so everything is within walking distance. Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, shops, and so much more are just around the corner, which makes it super convenient. You really do not need an Uber because everything is walkable. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. They even gave us a room on a higher floor so we could enjoy a beautiful view of the city, which made our stay extra special. The rooms themselves were excellent, very clean, modern, and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast included was also very good and made mornings easy and enjoyable. We have also stayed at Riu in New York, which was just as wonderful, also right in the city center. This consistency really makes us love the Riu hotels.

Excellent location, just off main drag of Michigan Ave-close to the waterfront & Riverwalks & subway Red line—-& good nearby restaurants. Big plentiful buffet breakfast, & fast service. Room clean & spacious we had a double queen & sofa bed & excellent bathroom facilities & plenty of clean towels. There is a $250 deposit on check in against damage which was a surprise & which they will be returned. Other guests have found this a suprise as well. We loved our stay and would deffo recommend.****

The room was spacious and clean, the bed - very comfortable, wi-fi was ok (not great for work calls, but good enough). The receptionist at breakfast deserves a special mention, being able to quickly and efficiently manage such long queues of hungry customers! Well done. A tip for future guests: if you want to have nice views from the window, try to mention a wish for a higher floor in advance. I didn't do it (simply forgot, being exhausted from previous travels), and was accommodated on the 5th floor, with no view of the city. On the other hand, 5th floor turned out to be a good option, as elevators were taking simply too long to come in the morning, and I used the stairs. If the room was on the 15th floor, it wouldn't be so easy! :)
